Barton G. The Restaurant | (310) 388-1888

Obscure and delicious, Barton G. will leave you wanting more! Here, every drink, appetizer, entree, and dessert item is a work of art that might just be too pretty to eat! Their menu offers options like the Hamachi Aguachile Pond, Truffled Lobster Trap Mac N Cheese, and Marie Antoinette’s Head – Let Them Eat Cake! Barton G. is open Monday through Thursday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Friday from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Saturday from 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm, and Sunday from 5:30 pm to 10 pm.

The Magic Castle | (323) 851-3313

Step back into Victorian times at this magical little spot in downtown Los Angeles. While no cameras are allowed and reservations must be made two weeks in advance, we think this is one fun restaurant not to skip. The Magic Castle club is members only but you can reserve a table in their dining room. Menu items like the Watercress Endive Salad, Filet Mignon, and Exotic Mushroom & Kabocha Squash are all sure to work their magic on your taste buds.

Black Rabbit Rose | (323) 461-1464

This is not your average restaurant, but entertaining none-the-less! Here you can enjoy a craft and amusing cocktail like the Dark Arts, Honey Bunny, or share one of their punch bowls like the Lucky #13. If you’re feeling hungry you can order from the take-out window of Crying Tiger. They have amazing Thai-Chinese items like Lettuce Cups and Tiger Fried Rice. While you nosh and sip you’ll be mesmerized and entertained by the magic show performed every night at 10:00 pm. Black Rabbit Rose is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am.

Velvet Margarita | (323) 469-2000

Velvet Margarita is famous for its high-end Mexican cuisine. The recipes for their dishes have been perfected for over five generations. Choose from items like their Classic Chicken Mole, Lupitas Chicken Tamales, vegetarian Chile Relleno and more. And of course don’t forget to try their signature Velvet Margarita with Herradura Silver, fresh strawberries, and pineapple. Open daily from 5:00 pm to 2:00 am, except for Fridays when they open at 12:00 pm.

CatCafe Lounge | (310) 254-7246

Inspired by Asian culture, the CatCafe is one of the most fun places to grab a coffee, tea, and snack –at least for all the cat lovers out there. This spot allows you to pet, cuddle, and socialize with their in-house cats that are up for adoption. What’s great about the CatCafe Lounge is it reduces euthanization and increases adoptions by creating a fun “tea-party” experience with its adoptees and guest. Be sure to make a reservation before your visit!

Opaque | (310) 546-7619

At Opaque, you’ll dine in the dark! This unique restaurant allows you to experience all your other senses like never before as you enjoy pitch-black dining. Served by trained visually impaired servers, you’ll be able to really take in the aromas, flavors, and conversation of your guests in a whole new way. What’s on the menu you ask? Their menu is ever-changing but they always offer beef, chicken, seafood, and vegetarian/vegan options. You won’t want to just stop by this place, make your reservation in advance.
